Is it just me or does this prick seem to be strutting his arrogance by even going as far as calling his company "monster" and using a last name like "Steele" as in; strong and resilient, but also a play on "steal" which he has done from so many people. I do not know if Steele is his born surname but I find it all so ironic. My wishes go out to those who were wronged. You are not alone, at least in energy. All us honest, good people feel for your devastation. Unfortunately, until the law starts to prosecute these white collar criminals in an appropriate manner, they will continue to exist. Shame on the system for that. Given that this poor excuse for a human being has already been convicted of a similar crime and went on to do this, there obviously is a huge chance once he gets out of prison, he will do this again. I do not know anything about his wife, but from what I have read here, I would say she is equally as despicable. I do not like to do this, but I truly wish the worst for both of them an anyone else who was instrumental in all this. I feel so sorry for the children who are helpless and have had their future ruined and decided for them by these poor role models.

I am very grateful that Jason's 19 year old son, has nothing to do with him. His mother was smart to ensure Jason was out of his life and away from the embarrassment his other 2 children will carry for the rest of their lives. Jason never gave one red cent to his oldest son, he wouldn't acknowledge him as his child....total scumbag!

Oakville woman charged in $11-million fraud investigation
An Oakville woman is facing charges in connection with a fraud case in which her ex-husband is accused of bilking investors out of more than $11 million.

OAKVILLE, Ont. -- An Oakville woman is facing charges in connection with a fraud case in which her ex-husband is accused of bilking investors out of more than $11 million.
Halton regional police say Renata Dawn Schumaker, 43, has been charged with obtaining credit by fraud and fraud over $5,000 in relation to an investigation that began in 2012.
It is alleged that from about April 17, 2006, to Jan. 31, 2012, Jason Robert Laramee defrauded several investors of $11 million while being the owner and operator of an investment company identified as RBL Capital Corporation in Oakville, west of Toronto.

During this period, police say, he was married to Schumaker.
Laramee was charged with several fraud-related offences in April 2013 and is awaiting trial on those charges.
Police allege that in May 2007, Schumaker and Laramee obtained credit by fraud through a line of credit loan from a financial institution and further perpetrated the fraud by falsely representing Schumaker's position and income as the alleged vice-president of Laramee's company.
Det. Sgt. Troy Izlakar of the Halton police regional fraud unit says investigators believe Schumaker was complicit in her actions.
Schumaker is to appear in Milton Provincial Court on March 4.
